The use of ISO standards for measurements
Jobber was developed with one goal in mind: to measure employee satisfaction and employee engagement. We developed a user-friendly and fast web application with that specific goal in mind. Measuring the employee satisfaction and employee engagement can help an organisation to progress, while also creating a better understanding of the functioning of the employees.
Quality, safety and efficiency
ISO standards can be applied in order to optimally measure the employee satisfaction and employee engagement within an organisation. The quality as well as the safety and efficiency of an organisation are typically ensured with ISO standards. The following ISO standards are applicable to the fields of employee satisfaction and employee engagement.
ISO 9001 (2008)
ISO 9001 is a globally recognised ISO standard for the ensuring the quality within an organisation. This standard does not literally require that you have to measure your employee satisfaction or employee engagement levels. However, it states that it is mandatory to measure the efficiency of the quality management within an organisation. Thus, the ISO 9001 standard is applicable to the employee satisfaction and employee engagement within an organisation.
ISO 9004 (2009)
ISO 9004 describes how organisations can achieve sustainability by the use of quality management. The parties which are involved with the organisation are described in Paragraph 4.4 of this ISO standard. This includes employees. Chapter 6 of ISO 9004 describes how to deal with the resources an organisation has at its disposal. This also includes the employees. This ISO standard states that an organisation should consider measuring the needs of their employees. To put this into effect, the employee satisfaction and employee engagement can be measured by the methods employed by Jobber.
